<p>Loot boxes have been on the tips of all gamers' tongues at some point over the last couple of months, and Apple has adjusted its own App Store guidelines for the better. Since EA came under fire earlier this year with Star Wars: Battlefront II, loot boxes have been very much frowned upon for the simple fact that the odds tend not to be in the buyer's favour. Though, this was console so didn't affect the mobile world much, right? Wrong.</p><p>When these loot box-like products called Ultimate Hero Chests arrived in Marvel Future Fight, the community was having none of it. IAPs certainly aren't uncommon, but offering up some of the game's strongest characters in these boxes is another thing.</p><p>One of the interesting things I noted back when we covered this topic earlier this month is that rather than being able to buy a character outright, the Ultimate Hero Chest is a total gamble. You could get your desired hero in the first swing, or you could spend £1,000 on chests and still not get it.</p><p>Though it's only a small step in the right direction, Apple's updated App Store guidelines in section 3.1.1 states: "Apps offering “loot boxes” or other mechanisms that provide randomized virtual items for purchase must disclose the odds of receiving each type of item to customers prior to purchase."</p><p>Whether this'll make developers less likely to include such things in their games, we can't be sure, but it does at least show that it's not something that'll just be ignored in the grand scheme of things.</p><p>Following the addition of Jessie &amp; Arbok as a free Sync Pair yesterday another duo involving a poisonous snake has arrived on Pasio. This time it's Lucy &amp; Seviper whose arrival coincides with a Poison-type Training event.</p><p>Unlike Jessie &amp; Arbok however, they won't be free and you'll have to obtain them through the usual gacha means. This can be made somewhat easier between now and July 24th as Lucy &amp; Seviper will have a Spotlight Scout until then. This will give players an increased chance to net the new duo alongside boosted odds of getting Plumeria &amp; Salazzle.</p><p>Lucy &amp; Seviper are a 4-star Tech Sync Pair. Seviper will have access to three attacks which are Poison Fang, Sludge Bomb and Wrap. This gives Seviper good potential for inflicting poison on her opponents as well as trapping them with Wrap. Her passives also buff the damage done when the opponent is trapped or poisoned.</p><p>Their arrival coincides with the addition of a Poison-Type training event that will run from today until July 24th. This will give players a chance to gain additional experience for their poison types by completing the various battles on offer. It will also see Koga &amp; Crobat's Sync Grind get expanded and the addition of event missions to the Poryphone.</p><p>Emerging victorious from this mixture of co-op and single-player battles will net players various training items and Poison Vouchers. These vouchers can then be exchanged for training items and a 3-star Tech Move Candy. There will also be Super Poison Vouchers that can be obtained from a daily, Ultra Hard battle variant. 100 of these vouchers can then be exchanged for a 4-Star Tech Move Candy.</p><p>Pokemon Masters is available now over on the App Store and Google Play.
