2、"I heard he was taking notice already," said Captain Jim, winking at Gilbert. "Wasn't he up to your place one Sunday lately, with his funeral blacks on, and a boiled collar?"adapkirmj.xyz
3、"He never had any children of his own, Gilbert--I am positive he hadn't or he would never have written such rubbish. You just can't help talking baby talk to a baby. It comes natural--and it's RIGHT. It would be inhuman to talk to those tiny, soft, velvety little creatures as we do to great big boys and girls. Babies want love and cuddling and all the sweet baby talk they can get, and Little Jem is going to have it, bless his dear itty heartums."

-
You may remember mention of Turtle Rock Studios' first VR game, Face Your Fears, earlier this month. Well, you can get your hands on it now if you've got a Gear VR and a compatible phone.

Faced with multiple experiences you've got two major categories to choose from. One – you're a poor sod stuck in a building while a robotic/alien race attempts to take over. Of course, things wouldn't be scary enough to be stuck in a top story so you're pulled out of the building and have to face a fear of heights and/or falling.

The second side is more paranormal as you lie in bed, choosing between three story books, before having the worst night's sleep you've ever had. Building blocks fly around the room, clown dolls are invading your personal space, and there's a demonic child creeping about the room that you just wish would go and do one.

So if you've got a Gear VR and a compatible phone, grab Face Your Fears from the Oculus Store now. It's totally free so the only thing standing in your way is you…and me...and my fear of everything.

Hold me.

-
The UK's Advertising Standards Authority has forcd the developers behind the uber popular Moshi Monsters to change aspects of the free to play game, because it "directly pressured children to make purchases".

The browser-based game is free to play, but there's a paid membership option with lots of extras and benefits. The ASA took Mind Candy to task for the way it sold that membership to its young audience.

The game uses "language and prominent calls to action that put pressure on young players to purchase a subscription to take part in additional gameplay".

Messages like "MEMBERS GET MORE MISSIONS AND Unique Moshlings!" were displayed to players. And players would be greeted with text like "ATTENTION: YOU NEED TO BE A MOSHI MEMBER TO ENTER THIS AREA ABOUT MEMBERSHIPS!"
Free to pay
Also, Mind Candy got a rap on the knuckles for that ol' free to play favourite - making the buy button much bigger and more prominent than the close button, on pop-ups about purchases.

What's more, the game used phrases such as "The Super Moshis need YOU" and "Members are going to be super popular", to put pressure on young players to purchase the subscription.

In response to this ruling, Mind Candy has altered the game. The changes include removing the 'Now' direction and re-wording information about Super Moshi Missions.

This probably won't affect most free to play games - the fact that the game is for kids was a large factor in the ASA's ruling - but it's an interesting case for the industry going forward.
MCV

The PS Vita hasn't exactly been a big handheld for a long time now, but there's still a small group of people out there who care passionately about it. Me, for example. You may have noticed since I took over at PG a sudden uptick in PS Vita reviews - that's because I love that darn thing. And I need an excuse to play it.

So it's devastating to hear that Catherine: Full Body will probably be giving the Vita a miss when it eventually comes out in the West. The plucky handheld's logo is missing from the game's official website, and a recent tweet by Atlus omits it when confirming Full Body's Western release.

Need more Catherine in your life?Pick up the original Catherine Classic on Steam right now! Also, get ready for the launch of Catherine: Full Body when it launches on PS4 in the West later this year!https://t.co/Hz6Gr7Km1h pic.twitter.com/k7J9tcVtcO— Atlus U.S.A., Inc. (@AtlusUSA) January 10, 2019
This has all come about in the wake of the launch of Catherine Classic, a rerelease of the original game on Steam. Atlus seems to have been going round and updating its sites with new info, and in this sweep it would appear that it's quietly killed off a Western Vita release.

Keep in mind that Atlus hasn't outright said that Catherine: Full Body won't launch on PS Vita. This could just be a casual omission in favour of consoles that people actually still use, outside of terrible folks like myself. But sometimes the loudest words are the ones left unspoken, and it certainly feels like that's the case this time around.

Worse yet, now I actually have to buy the game on PS4 instead of scumming a Vita review code off someone! Truly, I am the biggest victim here, and I'll be making my local MP aware of the situation.

All that said, with Catherine Classic having launched on Steam, it wouldn't be hugely surprising to see it re-released on other consoles as well. Perhaps a Switch port is on its way in the future? There's not even a sniff of this happening yet, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Catherine is a deeply, deeply problematic game, thanks to its iffy representation of trans people and overt sexism, but I still hold it close to my heart as a brilliant puzzler and darkly comedic story-driven title. Here's hoping a Vita version of Full Body arrives eventually.
And mine I pour your ocean all among.
