kanpo.cc
400 episodes, eh?

You know when this thing started there was no such thing as an iPad. "Who would want a big phone that can't make calls?" they said.

And there were right. The iPad fell quickly into obscurity in the summer of 2010, only to be superseded by the Atari HoloPlate, upon whose bioelectric porcelain membranes I now type these very words.

This week's podcast is brought to you in association with HoloPlate, and features chat about the new Sega Forever program, news on Street Fighter 4: Championship Edition on iOS, and reviews of The Little Acre and the New Nintendo 2DS XL.
Download episode 400:MP3 (right click to save-as, left click to play)iTunes
"No. Somehow I have never remembered to ask about her. But I've never seen her anywhere, so I suppose she must have been a stranger. Oh, the sun has just vanished--and there's the light."

Make More is a clicker from the dev behind RGB Express. It's a pretty little cartoon time-sync that sees you mashing the screen in order to produce a series of ever-more ridiculous things.

I made some ducks, and for some reason it made me inordinately happy. Ducks are cool, and hitting a screen in order to make a small man create them from duck matter is exactly what I need.

There's not much new when it comes to moving the genre forward here, but the compulsion loop - that drive to keep hitting the screen with as many digits as you can muster - wraps itself around you almost instantly.
Clicky clicky click
Once you've made a pile of stuff, you tap the manager at the top of the screen and he sells it. Make things, sell things, hire more people, rinse and repeat.

It's a clicker, so essentially you're only playing so you don't have to play anymore.

You can buy updates and boosts to kick your productivity up a notch, and eventually your army of minions will create without any prodding or poking from you, meaning you only have to pop in every now and then.

This is a well made and glowing clicker, and if that's your thing you're going to find an awful lot here to like. Plus ducks. Yay for ducks.
"Perhaps," said Owen dreamily, "it is the prisoned infinite in us calling out to its kindred infinite as expressed in that visible perfection."
